International
student with an Australian podiatry qualification.
The
Australasian Podiatry Council is the skills assessment authority
for the nominated occupation of podiatry.
International
Students who have gained a degree in podiatry from an approved
Australian School of Podiatry should complete and return the application
form, ensuring that all supporting documentation is enclosed
and has been certified where appropriate. You

Candidates must produce evidence of a current Australasian First-Aid
certificate if the qualification was obtained more than twelve
months ago.
The International Students' initial application fee for qualifications
assessment is AUS$400.00 for overseas residents. If you are living
in Australia please add 10% GST (i.e. $400.00 +$40.00GST = $440.00).
Please
take into consideration that this application process, as outlined,
can take up to two months.
Please
complete the application
form and mail it to the Australasian Podiatry Council, 89
Nicholson Street, Brunswick East VIC 3057,
together with the necessary supporting documentation and your
application payment.
Payment
should be in the form of an overseas bankdraft in Australian dollars
and made payable to the Australasian Podiatry Council, or please
complete the credit card authority attached to the "Application
for Assessment of Professional Qualifications in Podiatry"
form. Applicants resident in Australia have a third payment option
in that they may send a personal cheque.
If
you wish to migrate to Australia as a skilled person, you should
first read the information in Booklet 6, General Skilled Migration,
which is available on the website of the Department of Immigration
and Citizenship (DIAC), www.immi.gov.au.
If you are a podiatrist and you intend to migrate and work in
this profession in Australia, you must have a skills assessment
from the Australasian Podiatry Council to include with your visa
application.
