Advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the profession when issues of concern are raised before federal, state, and local government departments.

Preparation of national policies to support the needs of podiatrists and their patients.

Representation of the profession in industry bodies including Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA).

Collaboration with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to organise a regular national labour-force survey and conducting practice fee and cost surveys.

Publication and distribution of Australian Podiatrist, a bi-monthly magazine

Public Relations programs, including PR resources and media releases.

Organisation of a national scientific conference every two years, as well as national seminars and symposiums on specific topics eg. practice management.

Research: Provision of administrative and fundraising support for the Australian Podiatry Education and Research Foundation (APERF).

Production of patient education publications - including the Infection Control Guidelines and the Australian Podiatry Manual - and clinical practice resources for the profession.​

Support for Member Associations (APodAs) with their individual programs when required.
