Sunday 26th March optional 3D Digital Scanning Workshop at no extra cost
Grasping digital scanning and orthotics takes a few hours. If you are confused and looking for answers on digital scanning and orthotics we have the perfect opportunity. On Sunday 26th March, Lasercam & Cad Cam Orthotics will be presenting a digital scanning workshop using a variety of 3D scanners for The Art of Podiatry symposium delegates as a complimentary, optional extra.
Demonstrations using stationary photographic, laser scanners as well as a handheld scanning system. The presentation content will be purposely kept to a minimum to maximise your hands-on time. The idea will be to give podiatrists the opportunity to get a feel for using different scanning options currently available in the Australian market.
During the workshop Cad Cam Orthotics will be using the Lasercam Orthotics software suite in conjunction with the 3D scanners to help explain how 3D scans are used in a computer aided design program.
Although we are using 3D scanners and computer-aided design software developed and distributed by our company we hope to provide objective information about this technology to help podiatrists make better informed decisions in relation to scanners. We will compare weight bearing against non-weight bearing captures and handheld scanning compared to stationary laser scanning. We want this workshop to be interactive and informative.
If you have wanted to try 3D scanning, this is a great opportunity to get some practical experience. The more you learn about the technology the more informed your decisions will be for better patient outcomes.
When you register for the Symposium, the Association will give you a call to register your interest in this Sunday workshop from 10am until 12pm
